Papers Due

We completed the American Culture presentations!  While most were done well there is always room for improvement and I look forward to your Country Cultural Commonalities project coming up next.

Your reflection paper is due MONDAY, FEB. 4th on google docs at at the beginning of class.  If it is not in google docs by the beginning of class it is late.

 Please follow instructions for your paper

 

• Personal Reflection Paper:
•   You will TYPE at least a ONE PAGE paper (delivered via GOOGLE DOCS and shared with me covering the following info:
• What did you learn about the American culture from your own project?
• Be specific- three examples
• What did you learn from the other groups?
• Be specific- three examples
• How will this knowledge help you as you try to understand other cultures?
• Why do leaders need to understand the “background story?”  

PERMISSION SLIPS FOR FIELD TRIP- Some of you do not have them in, If they are not in with your payment on MONDAY FEB 4 you will not be able to attend the field trip on FRIDAY.

Update:

MARTIN LUTHER KING DAY event to be held at SCHS on Monday, Jan 21 from 1-4pm.  Join us in this celebration of unity. 
Volunteers needed to help with this event!  Great opportunity to volunteer and help the community! 

AMERICAN CULTURE projects- due soon! Are you ready?  Help your team be successful and carry your load.  If you need any items from Ms. Adams let me know on Friday.

FIELD TRIP PERMISSION SLIPS- to our trip to Ras Kassas in Boulder need to be in on
TUESDAY JAN 29.  The field trip will be on FRIDAY FEB 8th and we need parent drivers!

Contracts need to be signed an in.

If you need a book- please bring $10 made out to SCHS.  I will order new books this week.

SCLA 10 Homework DUE Tuesday 1/8

• Syllabus read and electronically signed by you and your parents.  Print if you would like to keep for you records.  
• Find your SCLA text book from last year.  If you can't find it you can purchase another one for $10.  Check to SCHS. 
• Write Ms. Adams an introductory business style email at adams_carrie@svvsd.org.  You may want to include the following:  How long you have been in SCLA, what your favorite part of last year was, what your least favorite part of last year was, what you are involved in when you are not in class, what your hopes, dreams and goals are for the future, or anything that you think might help me get to know you better.  Remember, we are practicing to write professional emails! 
• Supply list- You will need a thee ring notebook for this class with several page protectors.  Check the syllabus for specifics.
