I am inviting you to join me in 2014 for some amazing trips! SCLA is about understanding other cultures, stepping outside your comfort zone and helping others.  These trips take what we learn in the classroom and bring it to life. Although our trips are OPTIONAL, I work hard to bring you this experience because I know the benefit of travel for our students.  As a mother, I saw the difference in my son after our trip to China this past summer.  These experiences are also wonderful to use for college essays to help our SCLAers set themselves apart in the college application process.

PARENTS and SIBLINGS are welcome on these trips as well!!!

I have two trips planned for 2014

Costa Rica- Spring Break 2014

7 days in Costa Rica including Zipline, kayaking on Lake arenal, La Fortuna Waterfall, Paos Volcano, volunteer work with a local school and a day at Guanacaste beach.  Trip includes airfare, hotel, bus, tour guide, and three meals a day.  Nearly EVERYTHING is covered with this tour!

 Peru Summer of 2014

9 days in Peru will be amazing! Machu Picchu, boat ride on Lake Titicaca, San Francisco Monastery, two days of service, one in a local school teaching English, and one with local village women.   Amazing trip!!

I have an informational meeting planned on

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 10th at 7PM at SCHS in the Library.  PLEASE RSVP if you would like to attend so I can plan for snacks. 

This meeting will have all the details of the trips, costs, payment plans and details.  I will also offer a $100 discount drawing for both the Costa Rica trip and the Peru trip for anyone who signs up before the meeting or at the meeting. 

As traveling internationally is an optional activity, I choose to travel with EF tours, as they have been around forever and take really good care of us.  One of the EF representatives will be at our meeting to answer questions about cost, monthly payment plans, insurance and any other concerns you may have.
